A Joyous Occasion: The Rev. Sari Ateek Installed as Rector

The Right Rev. John Bryson Chane, bishop of the Diocese of Washington, formally installed the Rev. Sari Naim Ateek as the 13th rector of St. John's Church on Nov. 14. Bishop Chane charged Sari to "love and serve Christ's people. Nourish them, empower them for ministry, and strengthen them to glorify God in this life and in the life to come."

We celebrated Sari's ministry and installation at a joyous service of Holy Communion. You can read more, see photos of the service and celebration and listen to Sari's sermon here.
