1.Lead Free Lead Paint Inspection. In this inspection we take an XRF ‘gun’ and shoot a type of X-ray to determine if there is lead based paint. If there is not, we issue a ‘lead free’ certificate and your legal certification is complete. 2.Full Risk Reduction Clearance Inspection (aka ‘dust swipes’ or ‘lead safe’). This inspection is a visual inspection to look for any defective paint (inside, outside and in the basement) and then dust swipes to make sure there is no lead dust. The certificate issued is only valid for the current tenant so each time the tenant changes a new certificate is required. Every inspection begins with using the XRF gun on a small area. If the property is lead free we will carry out the Lead Free Lead Paint Inspection.
