At the Preston Shotokan Dojo we teachShotokan Karate thatoriginated in Okinawa andwas introducedto Japan by Gichin Funakoshi.Shotokan Karateconsists of low, wide stances with hard blocks and strikes. Our goal is to teach the physical and mental aspects of karate and self defense along with discipline,control andrespect. We stress the importance of studying karate purely for self defense. Our objective is to have fun in a safe and controlledenvironment while learning the basic skills necessary to become a well rounded student of karate.
In Loving Memory of Sensei Bill Hodgkiss
We accept ages 7 and up, including adults.
Classes are heldevery Wednesday of the monththroughout the year.
Class times:1st class -5:30 p.m. to 6:30 p.m. 2nd class -6:45 p.m. to 7:45 p.m.
