Dance Foundations began as a studio focused on "technique to build upon" for students ages two to adult. It has become a multi-faceted, multi-generational, and multi-discipline school that teaches love for the art of dance, appreciation of its history and masters, and a community of giving and passing the technique and styles onto future generations.
We believe a quality education starts with quality teachers. We employ instructors who are well trained in the arts and disciplines of dance and theatre -- and also have a love of children. Our staff is dedicated to excellence in education for all of our students – and all staff pursues ongoing continuing education as well. Through Master training, DEA membership, and taking technique and teaching classes to better serve you, we remain committed to providing quality dance and theatre education in a supportive, loving, and friendly environment. Our students learn the art, discipline of dance and theatre including proper technique, correct terminology, class etiquette, appreciation of the arts, teamwork, time management, performance qualities, dance history, audition and interview skills, and clear communication skills.
Our values reinforce our strong belief in age appropriate dance movements, song lyrics, and costume selections. We want everyone to feel appreciated, accepted, and a part of our company‘s family.
Dance Foundations also prides itself on beautiful facilities. Our dance floors are spacious and fitted with quality sprung hardwood floors and Marley to prevent our dancers from injury. Parents sit comfortably in our waiting area and enjoy multiple views from television monitors and glass doors so they can keep an eye on their child’s progress. Siblings play, watch movies, or study in our family-friendly waiting area. You will also enjoy complete access to the internet with our free Wi-Fi connection throughout the facility.
