He was trained at Hotelfachschule™ in Heidelberg and began working in the industry in Germany, where he was employed in one of Europe's finest restaurants. After Ali immigrated to North America, he worked at such great hotels as the Sheraton™ and the Waldorf Astoria™ in Toronto for 17 years.
The year 1968 brought him to the Eastern Shore, where he started Catering by Ali, the first regional catering company in the Ocean City area. Through the years, he has continued to pursue his dreams of being a chef, caterer, and restaurant owner.
