What does 'in trust' mean when buying life insurance?

I can't go into the technical details but my husband's life insurance policy was written in trust with our son as the beneficiary. It meant that the payout would not form part of my husband's estate, so would not be subject to inheritance tax. Our broker included this service free of charge when setting up the policy.

Depends on you're after. Capital One has some good cashback deals going at the moment. I saw one of their ads at a bus stop advertising 1% cashback for life, which seems like a pretty good deal to me, but I'm not sure how many people will get accepted for this though.

How much savings should I have at 30?

I think it depends on your specific situation i.e. do you have a family? when do you expect to retire, etc?
