Upon notification of this situation the Queenstown Bank immediately took steps to protect our customers and the public by contacting law enforcement. Even though the banks website was not compromised we feel the public should be informed of these types of scams. F.D.I.C Transaction Account Guarantee Program
The Queenstown Bank of Maryland is participating in the FDIC's Transaction Account Guarantee Program. Under that program, through December 31, 2010, all noninterest-bearing transaction accounts are fully guaranteed by the FDIC for the entire amount in the account. Coverage under the Transaction Account Guarantee Program is in addition to and separate from the coverage available under the FDIC's general deposit insurance rules.
ATM/Debit Cards
Effective June 28, 2010, to report a lost or stolen ATM/Debit Card after hours please call (800) 472-3272. This number will be posted here on the website, as well as, being included in after hour phone messages for all branch office locations. Please continue to call (410) 827-8881 during regular business hours for assistance. As always our customers will not be assessed ATM surcharges at any Queenstown Bank or Provident State Bank ATM locations or at any ATM displaying the MoneyPass logo.
Fraud Protection Services
Queenstown Bank Checks, Deposit Slips and Payment Books
While many products and services are upgrading here at Queenstown Bank your account number will stay the same. This means that any checks, deposit slips included with your checks, loan payment books and Christmas club payment books will not be affected by the conversion. Continue to use these products as you normally would. However, any deposit or withdrawal tickets you normally get in our lobbies will change slightly. So if you currently have a supply of pre-conversion tickets you picked up in our lobby, they cannot be used after Friday, June 25, 2010.
