The firm consists of seven attorneys and has produced several past Presidents of the Carroll County Bar Association. The firm engages in a general civil and criminal practice, both trial and appellate, in all courts and maintains its practice throughout central Maryland and the Baltimore metropolitan area.
Hoffman, Comfort, Offutt & Scott enjoys Martindale-Hubbell's highest law firm rating of "AV", denoting preeminent legal ability and very high ethical standards. Readers of the Carroll County Times designated the firm as Carroll County's Best Law Firm in its annual Reader's Choice Awards publication from 2001-2005. The law firm category was discontinued as of 2006.
