Beechnut Kennels is located on a quiet country acreage that is also very convenient for the humans. We are located on the Southeast side of the Central Avenue and Muddy Creek Road intersection in Edgewater, MD. Beechnut Kennels serves clients from several major geographic areas: Annapolis and surrounding Anne Arundel County, Bowie and surrounding Prince George’s County, southern Baltimore County, the Eastern Shore of Maryland, northern areas of Calvert County, as well as Washington D.C.
We strive to provide quality day and overnight care for your pet at a comfortable price for you. We strongly believe that everyone should have access to quality pet care. We have structured our rates as “all inclusive” as possible, so that we can provide EVERY pet with the quality services necessary to keep them content and healthy. History of Beechnut
Beechnut Kennels has been open, operating and expanding since 1973. Mildred Capone, Owner of Beechnut Kennels, recently celebrated her 85th birthday and the staff at Beechnut still celebrate her on-going dedication to the kennel business. Beechnut Kennels has been open, operating and expanding since 1973. Ms. Capone and new Manager, Melissa Medick, are very excited about the quality of care we are able to offer and the additional services and improvements underway at Beechnut Kennels. Although we are expanding our services, we are still dedicated to remaining a small boarding facility in order to ensure we treasure the personal relationships with our clients and their pets.
We would also like to thank all of our amazingly loyal clients! We couldn’t have gotten here without your support.

Dog Day Camp
We offer a series of play yards where your pet can decide to lounge on the couch or go outside to swim in a play pool, roll in the grass (artificial turf), or romp w/ a friend. All yards have access to an indoor temperature controlled area. We try to match dogs of similar size and energy level. Our staff also provide plenty of attention to each pet.

Regular exercise promotes relaxation so ALL pets have access to large play yards three times a day.

Temperature Controlled Indoor/Outdoor Runs.
All-Day Access (weather permitting) to the Outdoor Portion of the Runs.
Kennels are attached to play yards where each pet has time to run and play.
