Our facility is situated outside of Frederick, Maryland, on 300 acres of beautiful countryside overlooking two ponds and within 45 minutes of Washington DC, Baltimore, Gettysburg, and Harpers Ferry, making it convenient for destination weddings or for use as a conference center.
Our country setting is surrounded completely by farmland. The Inn is a converted bank barn accented by natural stone, oak floors, and the original oak beams. We have a large reception area and dining room that will seat up to 200 people. The rustic interior of the dining room recalls the spacious ambience of a mountain lodge. The lower level gives an aura of bright outside southern style veranda. This combination gives the best of both styles to appeal to guests of different backgrounds and tastes. For that perfect wedding ceremony, we have a large brick patio overlooking the ponds.
Business professionals will like our conference center, which is conveniently located near Interstate 270 and 70 and other transportation with nearby airports (BWI and Dulles), and the Frederick MARC rail station. We have modern technology available such as LCD projectors and high-speed Wi-Fi access throughout the Inn.
We are also close to major government facilities such as Fort Detrick, National Institute of Health, National Institute of Standards and Technology, Department of Energy, and businesses such as Wells Fargo and Bechtel.
Local and regional attractions include, Antietam Battlefield, Monocacy Battlefield, C and O Canal, B and O Railroad Museum, Museum of Civil War Medicine, Smithsonian Institution, The National Aquarium, The Inner Harbor, Gettysburg, The White House, and the Capitol buildings. There are five golf courses nearby including Clustered Spires, Glade Valley, West Winds Country Club, Musket Ridge Golf Club, and Whiskey Creek Golf Club.
