Holly Grove Christian School is the only accredited school in Somerset County, Maryland.

Holly Grove Christian School started in the fall of 1976 with nineteen students. For over 34 years Holly Grove Christian School has provided a quality education to the families of the Eastern Shore offering a traditional program for students in Pre-Kindergarten through 12th grade. During those years we built eight times to handle the increase in enrollment; six of the seven building projects were built by volunteers. Today the buildings are all paid for because of people who sacrificed and gave willingly so that we can make an investment in the lives of students.

Holly Grove Christian School is located in a beautiful rural setting on 15 acres in Westover, Maryland. There are 54 staff members ready and willing to serve our 472 students, who come from Maryland, Virginia and Delaware. We have seven buses that are used to transport many of our students every day.

Holly Grove Christian School believes in a strong academic program. May 2010, 28 seniors graduated, who were offered over $1,500,000 in college scholarships. Our students have been accepted in many different colleges and are doing well. In the ACSI regional competition, HGCS students win ribbons in the math, speech and science fair. We also have a strong music program. The Honors Choir and Junior High Choir participated in the ESCDA Choral Festival with all the public and private schools on Maryland's Eastern Shore. Holly Grove received the highest score of "ones" which won us an invitation to the State Choral Festival. The Elementary and Junior High Choirs also won first in a competition at Busch Gardens. Our Athletic teams are competitive. Many of our teams won games in league playoffs.
