Jimmie's Paddock is a family owned domestic and imported beer, wine, alcohol, liquor and lottery business serving Waldorf, White Plains, La Plata and the Charles County Southern Maryland area for over 40 years.

Our draft and bottled beer selection includes domestic, import, and microbrews. We also feature both house and premium wines. For mixed drinks, we offer a house or premium well, liqueurs, cognacs, and specialty cocktails, including flavored martinis and tropical drinks.

For every 10 people you invite, you can expect them to have at least two drinks each at an average cocktail party. If a full evening affair, you can double that.

History of Jimmie's – A Family Owned Business
In May 1963, James Mills Sr. left the Horseshoe Club to open what is today known as Jimmie’s Paddock. The business was formerly known as White Ladies Restaurant.

With a lot of hard work Jimmie remodeled the building, modernized the kitchen, and updated the motel to accommodate local people and tourists from many areas and many backgrounds.

During this time, it was the peak of the slot machine era in Charles County. Jimmie’s Paddock was widely known all across Maryland, DC, Virginia, North Carolina, South Carolina, Florida, and even New York for their slot machines and delicious food.
Jimmie’s Paddock was open 24 hours a day, offering $1.99 All-You-Can-Eat Shrimp, and over 40 slot machines. At this time, Route 301 was bristling with traffic and Charles County’s economy was booming with restaurants, car dealerships, gas stations and much more, but this all came to a halt in July, 1968. The law makers voted to outlaw slot machines entirely.

Jimmie's Paddock struggled to stay in business. With the outlaw of slot machines and the opening of Interstate 95, Route 301 became a ghost town. Jimmy tried everything he could: he continued Jimmie’s Paddock as a restaurant which offered sit-in and carry-out food. He added a juke box and pool tables. He catered to truckers and blue collar workers. Although he survived the hardship, Jimmy decided to convert the restaurant into a package store, liquor store, gas station and bar.

Here today we still stand; Jimmy passed away October 7, 2000. Jimmie's Paddock is still run by the Mills family. Jimmie's Paddock offers the same cigarettes, and the same beer it did 44 years ago.
