Friendly Farm is a recipient of the Maryland Council on Food Safety's Seal of Commitment, demonstrating that we observe the most stringent standards of food safety and hygiene as part of our commitment to bringing our customers the best in service and food quality.
Our family started the Friendly Farm Restaurant in Upperco, Maryland in 1959. Originally located in the existing farm house, the present building was opened in 1964 to accommodate a growing clientele.
Dining is family style. A choice of individually presented entrées, such as Roast Beef, Shrimp, Fried Chicken, Country Ham, Porterhouse Steak or "Our Famous" Jumbo Lump Crab Cakes are offered. Included with your meal are servings of the daily vegetable, fresh hand-cut french-fried potatoes, fruit, apple butter, cottage cheese, our relish dish, and an abundance of dinner rolls and deep-fried sugar rolls with butter and beverage. Completing your meal is a generous scoop of dairy-fresh ice cream.
A separate Banquet Room, for weddings, anniversaries and parties, is available for up to 175 guests.
Bring the whole family to enjoy the scenic surroundings and great food. The restaurant is open seven days a week from 12:00 noon to 8:00 p.m. Friendly Farm is closed during the Christmas Holidays.
After dining, check out our assortment of delicious baked goods in our lobby. Perhaps you would like to browse through our gift shop and country store. A converted barn, our shop is filled with a potpourri of gifts, scents and sweets.
