Would you mind if I used an analogy? Kitchens are similar to cars! They are similar because in both your kitchen and your car you spend time with family, you work, and you entertain. There is a similar pride of ownership. They are a similar investment of funds. Would you question the need for design in a car? If you think about it, a well thought out kitchen design is a precondition to a great kitchen remodel.

What are the ingredients I should look for in kitchen design?
As kitchen designers we believe successful kitchen design is a blend of aesthetics, function, and budget. There is really no other room in the house, except perhaps the bathrooms, where these three dynamics have such an impact. Our kitchen designers, strive for a result that is both beautiful and satisfying to the senses. Easy to cook and prepare meals in. As well as, the other functions, many of us feel are important today, such as, entertaining, family concentric activities, and the management and communication needs of the home. We strive to achieve all of this within your budget.
How can you help me with my kitchen design & kitchen remodel?
We have organized our new 4,000 square foot kitchens, additions & bath design studio at 850C Gude Drive in Rockville Maryland 20850, as a design tool. The showroom is a guide for both kitchen designer and our clients to go above and beyond selecting kitchen cabinets, countertops and appliances, cabinet lighting, and kitchen flooring. Each display is a comparative tool, through which, client and designer interactively develop the design, remodel and budget.
We have 5 kitchen designs set up in this interactive way:
Jay Rambo Cabinetry: This is our custom to furniture grade kitchen cabinet line from Texas. A Tex-Mex version of Clive Christian cabinetry. We show a large perimiter in with baltic brown granite top and an outstanding kitchen island designs in sepelie mahogony. Appliances we represent in this display are the AGA 6/4 cooker, a Marvel Chateu Wine Cellar, a Northland built in 42" refrigerator very affordable relative to Wolf or Viking and equaly robust, and a Blumberg Dishwasher.
Dura Supreme Cabinetry: A semi custom to custom grade kitchen cabinet line, with a European frameless line called Electra. Electra frameless cabinets allow us to provide you with an Italian Kitchen Design at a Minnesota Price! We show a very large perimiter of Craftsman Doors in Electra and two large island kitchen designs in Designer and Crestwood. Dura's other two lines. The complementing appliances line is Gaggenau from Germany. For the discriminating cook Gaggenau appliances are tough to beat we show Gaggeanu's seperatable refrigerator and freezer towers. A cooks delight the Gaggenau steam oven, above Gaggenau' BO500 convections oven, above Gagenau WM300 warming drawer. We also feature in this huge display a gaggenau wine cellar and the coolest home appliance the gaggenau Coffee maker. We'll make you a cup. The center island in this two island display feature a Bosch cook top and Bosch Island hood. The floor is Amtico, the under cabinet lighitng is Kichler LED.
Medallion Cabinetry: A semi custom to custom kitchen cabinetry line. Again a huge display with 5 differnet door styles in the permiter and another impressive kitchen islands design with a 6th door style. Here we complimnet the cabinetry with the most extrordinary speed cook oven on the market the Turbo Chef Spped Cook Oven. Gary Case made his famlies Thanksgiving turkey in this Turbo Chef oven in 46 minutes! In addition we show one of Americas best applaince lines kitchenaid.
JSI Cabinetry: The best imported stock cabinet line you will find. It is limited, it is stock, but the quality is there and the price cannot be beat. We have added to this display three unique products, cork flooring, FX180 countertops and Fagor Appliances.
I am looking for a one stop shop, or at least one stop street, for kitchen & bathroom design.
If you really want to tap into residential design expertise in one location, Gude Drive is the place to do it. At our location we are surrounded by and able to collaborate with some great specialized design firms. Our immediate neighbor at 851 Gude Drive is Architectural Ceramics with great selection and incredible ceramic tile designers, as a matter of fact, all of our kitchen back splash tile designs were done there. Just a few yards away is Ferguson plumbing showroom, our designers are there frequently. Four blocks from our door, at 425 Gude Drive are our kitchen lighting designer friends at the Rexal Electric's huge lighting showroom. All of our kitchen cabinet lighting, under cabinet lighting and showroom lighting was designed at Rexal. For technical advice on how one might repair an existing appliance you cannot beat the leading supplier of appliance repair and replacement parts... Tribbles, they are right next door.
