The Reeded Edge Heads to Northern Virginia
This weekend, October 30th and 31st, we will be heading to Northern Virginia to the always-active Northern Virginia Coin Club Show. Located at the Vienna Community Center in Vienna, VA (just minutes from Tysons Corner), this is one of the busiest club shows in the mid-Atlantic. Although small in size, it definitely is not in stature. There is always a great mix of dealers at this venue, and we're sure that this upcoming show will be no exception. Rob and Robbie will be on hand representing The Reeded Edge. They will have thousands of items, including many new purchases from the home office. They will also be aggressively buying, so if you have coins and collectibles for sale, be sure to see them first. Vienna is only a half hour drive from Washington D.C. so it might be a nice time to plan a weekend. If this show ends up being in your plans this weekend, please stop by The Reeded Edge's table and say hello. Whether you're buying, selling, trading or just want to talk shop, we would love to see you in Vienna. Hopefully, you can make it!
The Reeded Edge Now Accepts Paypal

The Reeded Edge is accepting Paypal. You can now use the same payment option that has propelled eBay to the number one online retailer status. Our customers have been asking us for this option for some time. Thanks to the hard work of our webmaster, Ray Hunt, Paypal is now up and running. Just select Paypal as your payment option at checkout and you'll be transported to an off-site, secure interface. On the left hand side of the Paypal page, you'll see a complete itemization of your order underneath the recognizable Reeded Edge letterhead. It's a very user-friendly and easy-to-understand format.
Paypal also offers you their exclusive insurance against loss or theft. This added protection is in addition to the standard insurance that we provide on all packages. We place great emphasis on our customer's security, and with Paypal's double layer of protection, things just got a little safer.
We're excited about offering Paypal as yet another payment option. We hope that you'll find this latest Reeded Edge webstore enhancement to be useful in your shopping experience.
BUYING!! BUYING!!! BUYING!!!!
The Reeded Edge Needs Your Coins and Bullion
Buying gold, selling gold, Buying Silver, Selling Silver, Buying gold coins, Selling gold coins, Buying Silver Coins, Selling Silver Coins??? If the answer is yes to any one of these questions, you need to read on!
Would you drive your car onto a stranger's lot and sell it for his on-the-spot offer? Of course you wouldn't. Does it make any more sense to drop your valuable coins and bullion in a pre-paid envelope and ship them to some unknown company just because they have a slick TV commercial? When you think about it, the answer is pretty obvious. Chances are pretty good that these companies are underpaying you, and probably by a LOT! After all, somebody has to pay for their expensive television advertising. Who are these firms and where were they before the surging metals markets? You probably didn't know their names five years ago, and when the markets finally do correct, we're betting that you won't hear their names again until the next run. Is this really who you should be selling your valuables to?
The Reeded Edge is a trusted dealer in rare coin and collectibles with over 30 years of full time experience. We want to buy your rare coins, collectibles, sets, accumulations and bullion, and we'll pay more than our competitors. Our retail customer base of collectors is one of the fastest growing in the industry. Consequently, we have a tremendous appetite for any and all fresh deals. Perhaps you have inherited a collection, or put coins away as a child. If you're considering selling, please call us. We think that you'll be pleasantly surprised when you see just how much your gold, silver, old coins and/or collectibles could be worth. Without exception, we guarantee that our offer will ALWAYS exceed those TV advertisers. To prove it, simply add 10% to their high quote, and provided that the spot price is about the same, ship your merchandise to us for immediate payment. With millions of dollars available, no deal is ever too big. Bank wires are available for any larger transactions. Discover what collectors, investors and other dealers have known for over 30 years. The Reeded Edge really is your one stop shop when it comes to selling your coins, bullion and collectibles for TOP DOLLAR. So, go ahead, pick up your phone and give us a shot. Robbie Jenkins is just waiting to talk to you, either in the office @ 301-724-0400 or on his cell @ 301-876-1332.

The Reeded Edge Features Thousands of New Purchases!
With gold and silver supercharging the Fall season, we are very optimistic about the rare coin market's prospects. A strong Autumn could signal a banner year, not only for us here at The Reeded Edge, but for the entire coin hobby. The rare coin market is still alive and well, and unlike the leaves that are turning brown and falling to the ground, we see no end in sight anytime soon.
We are also realists. We understand what has been fueling this market, and it’s not all warm and fuzzy. Many people are turning to precious metals and rare coins as a hedge against the present economic uncertainty and potential future inflation. As you read this, think about your own situation. How do you feel about the present state of our economy? What is the outlook for the future if we were to maintain the status quo? We would love to see this bullish coin market continue into 2011, but for the right reasons.
What if the market mood changed from tentative uncertainty into unbridled optimism? If you put faith in the political pundits, polling and the American people as a whole, real change is likely on the horizon. November elections promise to redefine the political landscape, a positive force in our opinion. Yes, the coin market is presently thriving but it could potentially get MUCH better.
In the last month, we have been purchasing coins at a frenzied pace. This includes buying everything from common 90% silver to world class collections. You will see it all represented here today. From a MS-61 1928 Peace Dollar to a PCGS certified 1911-D $2.50 Gold Piece, this really is a something-for-everyone list. Of particular interest are several new groups of collector coins including a run of dated Mercury Dimes. We also just acquired a small group of $20.00 gold pieces, including many scarce and rare dates. More so than ever, we encourage you to peruse this list in its entirety; you never know what you might find.
You can always view our most recent acquisitions by visiting our New Store Items. Robbie Jenkins is just a call away to reserve your selections. Robbie can be reached in the office during normal business hours @ 301-724-0400, on his cell @ 301-876-1332 or 24 hours via email.

Name Your Price! From The Reeded Edge
With the economy on our minds, or at the very least, constantly in the news, it seems that value has become the word of the day. Whether you’re a collector on a budget or an investor seeking opportunity, price seems to be the common denominator. Generally speaking, if the price is right, the item probably will sell. With that thought in mind, The Reeded Edge is introducing our new Name Your Price! program.
Name Your Price! allows you to make an offer for any item in inventory with a suggested retail price of $50.00 or more. If you like saving money (and who doesn't?), this opportunity is definitely for you. Does the idea of purchasing a particular coin or collectible for what you believe it should be worth appeal to you? Then, put your best foot forward, because this is your chance to name your price on a wide variety of coins and collectibles.
Since we implemented this program, we sold an uncirculated 1901 Morgan Dollar, a 1916-D Mercury Dime and a RARE dated $20.00 gold coin, all at prices well below our suggested retails, simply because each customer tendered an acceptable offer. Now it’s your turn!

Every offer is seriously considered and weighed carefully. We evaluate many different factors including our original cost, what comparable items have recently sold for, frequency of the item’s appearance, rarity, desirability and overall quality. We then carefully consider your offer against each of these areas and try to make a fair decision.
We understand that opinions of value can vary. Consequently, not all offers will be accepted. But, if your offer is close, we’ll let you know, and in some instances, may come back with a counter-offer. Again, it doesn’t matter if you’re a collector, an investor or even a dealer buying for resale. We encourage you to take your shot and make an offer-You have absolutely nothing to lose!
Shipping Tracking Information is Now Available!

Speaking of FED-X, you will notice that we are using them more and more often for parcels valued at $500.00 and over. FED-X provides efficient and secure shipping to many local and regional parts of the country, much of the time, less expensively than the U.S. Postal Service. For heavier Flat Rate packages, lower value packages and west coast shipments, the postal service is, more often than not, still less expensive to use.
With shipping rates constantly going up, we're really trying to look out for you and ship the most economical way possible, without of course, compromising your parcel's security. Your ideas and feedback in this area are always welcomed.
The Reeded Edge will Reward you for your Referral!
Do you know somebody selling coins? Please think of referring them to The Reeded Edge. Not only will we tender them an extremely competitive offer for their coinse, but we'll send a finder's fee your way as a token of our appreciation. Rare coins are a word-of-mouth business, and we realize that your endorsement of our company is what keeps us in business. When it comes time to sell your coin collection, we want you to think of The Reeded Edge. Please call Robbie Jenkins either in the office @ 301-724-0400 or on his cell phone @ 301-876-1332 to discuss this option further.
