Welcome to St. Mark's Lutheran Church. For over a century God's people at St. Mark's have been nourished and strengthened in worship as we hear God's word proclaimed and share his holy meal. We study God's word faithfully in Sunday School classes for all ages and special Bible studies. We enjoy one another's fellowship at our annual Talent Show and our Congregational Birthday Party, as well as at informal dinners and get togethers. Our new Mission Statement recalls our past heritage, opens us to the future where God's Spirit is leading, and reminds us of God's empowering love in Christ presently working through us so that as Gods family we can reach out to the community and world in service and commitment.
St. Mark's is a member congregation of the Evangelical Lutheran Church in America located in the Delaware-Maryland Synod. We would be delighted to have you as a guest at a worship service soon. We invite you to come as often as you can and to participate in our fellowship and mission. If you would like to unite with us or have concerns to share, please see me after a worship service, call the church, or contact me through e-mail.

The Evangelism Committee is in need of new members!! Our numbers have lessened, and we are now basically a committee of four. This Committee is a vital part of S1. Mark's outreach ministry and we are desperately in need of some dedicated people to join us and share their exciting new ideas. We can't continue to do it alone. The Evangelism Committee meets the second Monday of every month at 7:30 p.m. in the Parlor. All are welcome; please join us and bring your ideas. If you have any questions, you can give me a call. John Bryan 301-393-4557 or email me at jiluvhistory@cs.com. Hope to see you there!
